Where Midtown meets Buckhead you'll find a taste of Thailand's celebrated street food. WHen DeeDee Niyomkul opened Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft a few years ago, there were plenty of restaurants in Atlanta serving up Thai food. But they usually served a very specific, and sanitized version of the food she really loved. Thailand has a rich culture of street food. The fresh, quick and filling street food served to the workers and players of Bangkok is a tasty treat that not many in Atlanta have had the pleasure to enjoy.

Situated on the third floor of the Brookwood Plaza, the first thing that will greet you is the namesake; the ubiquitous tuk tuks that fill the streets of Bangkok. The second thing you'll notice is the view. Windows face downtown and at night the light sparkles like your eyes when you finally see the cuisine that Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft has to offer. Small plates to noodle dishes to perfectly crafted Thai specialties rule the roost. But, don't overlook the beverages. The Thai Tea is almost too pretty to drink...almost.

We suggest ordering several plates and share with the table. The staff will gladly guide you through the unfamiliar dishes. But don't eat too much that you can't have dessert. Shaved ice comes straight from a small cart and is topped with anything from condensed milk to fruity syrups. An exotic little snow cone that will have you grinning like a child.
